Continent Creation / Completion
In hashi, all islands must be interlinked. The rule for continent creation is simple: Any bridge which would create a completed continent (i.e. a group of interlinked, completed islands), cannot be placed. Here is an example:
The '2' highlighted in orange must link to the '3' highlighted in red, as shown. In this case, the orange '2' is the only island that hasn't been completed in its group. It can either bridge to the '1' below it, or the '3' to the left of it. If, however, it were to link to the '1', this would mean the entire interlinked group of islands would be completed, which would make it impossible to arrive at a solution where all interlinked islands were completed. So the only valid option is for it to link to the red '3'. Here is another example:
Here, the orange '2' must link to the red '3' at least once, as shown. This is because it would otherwise have to link twice to the '5' to its right, which would create a continent.
